Rapax RMS 2+J 13mm Airsoft Sniper Spring

Modular Sniper Upgrade Spring for TAC-41, SRS, SSG10, VSR-10 & More

The Rapax RMS 2+J Airsoft Sniper Spring is a modular 13mm upgrade spring designed for airsoft snipers who want 2+ Joule performance, excellent durability and easy power adjustment, particularly when using heavier aftermarket pistons.

RMS stands for Rapax Modular Spring. Unlike the Rapax Light Pull Series, the RMS is shorter and has a slightly heavier bolt pull, with its design focused on heavy piston compatibility, reduced spring noise and straightforward power tuning.

Compatible with popular platforms including the Silverback TAC-41, Silverback SRS, Novritsch SSG10, SSG24, SSG96 and upgraded VSR-10 rifles with a 9mm spring guide.

Why Choose the Rapax RMS 2+J Spring?

  • Designed for 2+ Joule airsoft sniper builds
  • 13mm outer diameter
  • Optimised for use with heavier pistons
  • Includes two 4mm PETG power-adjustment spacers
  • Reduced spring "twang" for quieter operation
  • High-grade spring wire
  • Electrically coated for corrosion resistance and smoother operation
  • Tested for 10,000+ shots without significant power loss
  • Handmade in Europe

Power & Performance

With heavyweight BBs and commonly used 420–430mm inner barrels, the RMS 2+J is designed to produce approximately:

  • 2+ Joules
  • Around 320 FPS with 0.48g BBs

Longer barrels can produce higher FPS and Joule output.

Actual performance will depend on your rifle's barrel length, piston weight, air seal, hop-up setting and internal configuration.

If your rifle produces less power than required, the included spacers can be fitted to the spring guide to increase spring preload.

Two 4mm Power Spacers Included

Every Rapax RMS 2+J includes:

  • 2 x 4mm PETG spacers

These allow you to fine-tune FPS and Joule output without immediately replacing or modifying the spring.

Make adjustments gradually and chronograph your rifle after each change.

Airsoft Sniper Compatibility

The Rapax RMS 2+J 13mm spring is designed for compatible sniper platforms including:

  • Silverback TAC-41
  • Silverback SRS
  • Novritsch SSG10
  • Novritsch SSG24
  • Novritsch SSG96
  • Upgraded VSR-10 platforms with a 9mm spring guide
  • Other compatible APS2-style sniper setups

Its design makes it particularly suitable for upgraded sniper rifles using heavy aftermarket pistons.

RMS vs Rapax Light Pull Springs

The RMS 2+J is shorter than the Rapax Light Pull Series and produces a slightly harder bolt pull.

In return, the RMS design is optimised for:

  • Heavy piston setups
  • Reduced spring noise
  • Compact installation
  • Modular power adjustment using spacers

This makes it a strong option for players prioritising heavy-piston compatibility and precise power tuning rather than the lightest possible bolt pull.

Built for Long-Term Performance

Rapax Modular Springs are handmade in Europe from high-grade spring wire with tight manufacturing tolerances.

A specialised tempering process helps maintain spring strength and minimise FPS and Joule loss over time, while the electrically coated surface improves corrosion resistance and helps the spring move smoothly along the spring guide.

Installation & Tuning

For accurate setup:

  • Adjust your hop-up using the heavyweight BBs you actually intend to use
  • Chronograph with the hop correctly set
  • Use the included spacers if additional power is required
  • Re-chronograph after every adjustment

Short G-Spec rifles with approximately 300mm barrels generally require stronger springs to achieve the same energy as rifles using longer inner barrels.

Important Power Information

The Rapax RMS 2+J does not guarantee an exact Joule output. Barrel length, piston weight and other internal components can significantly change performance.

Always chronograph your completed airsoft sniper rifle using your intended BB weight and ensure it remains within applicable legal and airsoft site power limits before use.
