Silverback Steel Variable Mass Piston Body for SRS & TAC-41
The Silverback Steel variable mass piston body is a CNC-machined upgrade for SRS and TAC-41 platforms, enabling extreme mass configurations for precise tuning and enhanced durability. It’s designed for serious builders who value inertia control, reliability, and long-term performance.
- Material: CNC-machined steel for higher inertia and superior wear resistance compared to aluminum versions.
- Weight: 55.1 g mass to provide stable, repeatable impulse in demanding setups (significantly heavier than the aluminum variant at 19.0 g).
- Compatibility: Works with original SRS piston SBA-BPS-13, original TAC-41 piston SBA-BPS-30, variable mass pistons SBA-BPS-18 (SRS) and SBA-BPS-31 (TAC-41), plus original SRS piston end SBA-BPE-01 and original TAC-41 piston end SBA-BPE-03.
- Precision: Carefully machined to tight tolerances, ensuring a reliable fit and consistent cycling across uses.
- Use Case: Ideal for extreme mass configuration builds, high-velocity tuning, and scenarios where piston inertia needs to be precisely controlled.
Upgrading to the Steel variable mass piston body delivers a robust, higher-inertia core that helps stabilize the firing cycle, reduces wear on surrounding components, and enables repeatable performance across varied field conditions. This part is especially beneficial when pairing with compatible mass pistons and ends to fine-tune piston travel, air seal, and overall system reliability for SRS and TAC-41 setups.
