Helikon-Tex Guardian Recce Chest Rig | Tactical Recon Load-Bearing System

Built for reconnaissance. Designed for mobility. Ready for the field.

The Helikon-Tex Guardian Recce Chest Rig is a versatile tactical load-bearing system designed for airsoft players, reconnaissance training and woodland fieldcraft.

Built for carrying essential equipment without the bulk of a full plate carrier, the Guardian Recce combines four integrated rifle magazine pouches, a large administrative compartment, radio storage and MOLLE/PALS expansion points.

Whether you're running an M4 or AK airsoft rifle, navigating woodland or building a lightweight tactical loadout, this chest rig keeps your magazines, communications and essential equipment organised and accessible.

Why Choose the Guardian Recce Chest Rig?

The Guardian Recce is designed around practical equipment access and modular storage.

Unlike minimalist chest rigs that require additional pouches before use, the Guardian Recce provides integrated rifle magazine storage, utility compartments and dedicated radio pockets.

Its low-profile design makes it particularly useful for woodland airsoft, reconnaissance-style gameplay and players who prefer mobility over the additional coverage of a plate carrier.

Key Features

• Four rifle magazine pouches: Integrated buckle-secured storage for compatible AK and AR/M4 magazines.

• Adjustable administrative pocket opening: Helps prevent stored equipment from falling out.

• Competition Series compatibility: Utility pouches can accommodate two pistol magazines when fitted with suitable inserts.
• MOLLE/PALS webbing: Side attachment points for additional compatible pouches.
• Internal zipped compartment: Large storage pocket for maps, notebooks and documents.
• Two radio pockets: Flat compartments positioned against the body for communications equipment.
• Modular load-bearing design: Adapt your equipment arrangement to suit different activities.

Four-Magazine Capacity for M4 and AK Loadouts

The Guardian Recce features four integrated rifle magazine pouches designed to accommodate compatible AR and AK magazines.

Each pouch uses a buckle-secured closure to help retain magazines during movement.

For airsoft players, this provides a practical ammunition-carrying setup without needing a separate magazine pouch system.

Additional storage allows you to carry speedloaders, spare batteries, multitools and other essential accessories.

VIS Modular Administrative Storage

The large front administrative pocket features a soft hook-and-loop interior compatible with the Helikon-Tex Versatile Insert System (VIS).

Compatible inserts allow the compartment to be customised for smaller equipment, helping prevent loose items from moving around.

An adjustable opening helps retain the contents, making the compartment useful for equipment that needs to remain accessible during gameplay or field activities.

MOLLE/PALS Expansion and Radio Storage

MOLLE/PALS webbing along the sides of the Guardian Recce allows compatible utility pouches and accessories to be attached.

Two flat pockets on the body-facing side provide dedicated space for compatible radios, while the internal zipped compartment offers additional storage for maps, notebooks and other flat items.

This combination makes the chest rig particularly practical for airsoft players using team communications and navigation equipment.

Guardian Recce vs Training Mini Rig

Both Helikon-Tex chest rigs offer practical alternatives to full plate carriers, but they suit slightly different equipment requirements.

Helikon-Tex Guardian Recce Chest Rig: Prioritises four integrated rifle magazine pouches, radio storage, administrative organisation and MOLLE expansion. Well suited to reconnaissance-style and woodland airsoft loadouts.

Helikon-Tex Training Mini Rig (TMR): Offers a compact, ready-to-use layout with mixed magazine and utility storage, making it a versatile choice for general airsoft skirmishing and range training.

Choose the Guardian Recce if carrying four rifle magazines, communications equipment and organised field essentials is your priority.
